Shipping & Care Guide

Please take a moment to prepare your piece carefully. This ensures it arrives safely and ready for work.
Your piece should be clean and fully dry.
Remove any frames, hoops, or mounts unless otherwise discussed.
Ensure all loose threads are secured (do not trim).
If your piece is fragile or has special requirements, please let me know in advance.
Folds in vintage fabric can become permanent “breaks” in the fibres if they are crushed under heavy packages in transit.
Lay your piece flat.
Wrap it in acid-free tissue paper (stops the fabrics from yellowing).
Lay your acid-free tissue paper flat.
Wrap the tissue around a clean cardboard tube (like a wrapping paper roll or a heavy-duty paper towel roll).
Lay down a second piece of acid-free tissue paper.
Lay your piece on top of the tissue, the back facing upwards.
Wrap your piece, and the tissue, around your pre-wrapped tube.
Once your piece is wrapped around the tube with tissue, gently secure it with a small piece of tape.
Do not use a rubber band.
Place the wrapped piece into a clean plastic sleeve or bag.
This protects against moisture and transit handling.
Place the wrapped piece into a rigid postal tube for mailing.
Do not use soft bags.
Always use a tracked service.
Retain your tracking number until your piece has been received.
Only ship to the address provided in your online assessment.
Mark the parcel "Do Not Bend" if not using structured packaging.
While every care will be taken once your piece arrives, Clotho by Theophora cannot be responsible for damage caused during transit due to insufficient packaging.
If you are unsure, you're welcome to contact me before sending.
Your piece carries time, effort, and intention. Sending it well is the first step in its next stage.
